Venice’s Princess

A masked figure spreads layers of lilac fabric beside the lagoon, with gondolas and wooden poles extending behind. Purple flowers crown the costume, while the waterfront skyline gives the theatrical pose a distinct Venetian setting. Captured during the Venice Carnival, the broad composition brings movement, color and place together.
