Checkerboard Mesa

A red road leads toward pale, patterned sandstone in Checkerboard Mesa. Yellow center lines guide the eye between trees and rocky slopes beneath a bright blue sky. Simone Amaduzzi’s Zion National Park photograph pairs the road’s clean geometry with the textures of the cliffs.
