Rounded ends of petrified logs stand out across a sandy expanse, their warm mineral colors catching the light beneath a softly clouded sky. Scattered trunks and low desert plants create layers of texture and depth. In this view of Petrified Forest National Park, the stone forms give the playful title its visual echo.
