Mystic River

Mist drifts above a dark river between snow-covered banks and a forest of conifers. Rendered in black and white, the scene draws attention to the contrast between bright snow, shadowed trees and soft vapor. This winter view of Yellowstone gives the flowing water a quiet, almost dreamlike presence.
