Arabesque

Two white masks with red lips tilt within an intricate arrangement of turquoise fabric, lace and beadwork. Broad decorative headdresses curve around their faces, repeating delicate blue and gold patterns. Photographed during the Venice Carnival, the paired portrait creates a flowing composition through coordinated color and contrasting angles.
