Deep Sight

A richly jeweled mask emerges from a dense arrangement of colorful beads, mirrored surfaces and flowers. Pink blossoms fill the foreground, drawing the eye toward the gaze within the ornate costume. Photographed during the Venice Carnival, the close portrait explores a vivid accumulation of pattern, texture and reflective detail.
