Chit Chat

Two masked figures turn toward one another in layered white and violet costumes beside a Venetian column. Feathers, broad hats and flowing fabric surround the pale faces, while architecture provides depth behind. Captured during the Venice Carnival, the composition suggests a quiet exchange within the surrounding spectacle of costume and color.
