Deep Blue

A smooth golden mask is framed by white curls beneath a pointed blue and gold hat. Dark eye openings and the costume’s deep blue fabric contrast with the luminous face and bright trim. This Venice Carnival portrait highlights the balance between simple facial forms and richly decorated clothing.
